Francella Ruby Turner, MBE is a British Jamaican R&B and soul singer, songwriter, and actress. In a music career spanning more than 30 years, Ruby is best known for her solo albums and single releases and her work with Jools Holland. She is also in great demand as a session backing vocalist, having worked with among other Bryan Ferry, UB40, Steel Pulse, Steve Winwood, and Mick Jagger. Her self-penned songs have been covered by such as Lulu, Yazz and Maxi Priest.
Ruby responded to AATA in the times of Corona with, ‘Hi Steve hope you’re keeping safe and well. I’m having a quiet time enjoying the garden playing my ukulele badly. I am loving reading about William Wordsworth, writing short stories and new songs. Also I am enjoying cooking and eating it!!!
