AATA [All Across the Arts]

 

An oasis of positivity: previewing, reviewing, interviewing and recommending events, performances and exhibitions in celebration of the creative arts as a contribution to community and individual wellbeing.

 

Twice weekly columns in print in the Rochdale Observer, online through the website https://www.allacrossthearts.com and across social media.

 

Quarterly column in Rochdale Style Magazine

 

The columns main readers are based in Greater: Manchester, London, New York and Paris.

 

A totally non-profit group of volunteer contributors with ten writers who give their time freely in support of the core aims.

Educator

 

30 year career in secondary education [11-19]. A member of the senior management team at a school with performing arts status.

 

Founder and leader for 11 years of the VIBE project funded by the NHS working with young people 11-25 who faced challenges to their mental health enabling them to find their voice through the creative arts through working alongside artists across the whole spectrum: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpVqWEimHpMo

 

Member of the London Olympic Games Stakeholders Group at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

 

Training 300+ young people to be Truce Ambassadors as part of the Olympic Games Peace Treaty.

 

Speaker at the signing of the Olympic Games Treaty by ambassadors representing participating countries.

 

Justice

 

A Magistrate for 11 years serving as a bench chair in Rochdale, Bury and Manchester.

 

Vice Chair of Rochdale Law Centre for 10 years.

 

Supporter of the creative arts

 

Founder, lead writer and curator of AATA.

 

Chair of community dance group Can’t Dance Can.

 

Curator of the Rochdale Literature and Ideas Festival Fringe.
