For many of us the current pandemic and its attendant restrictions on our lives has created more time to fill. Time that has the potential to enable a widening of our cultural horizons. Time to engage with areas of creativity for the first time.

For example, you may think that you don’t like jazz music!

However, if you are looking for something a bit different why not give it a try?

A great starting point would be local freelance jazz broadcaster, Steve Bewick’s Hot Biscuits Radio show.

Steve offers an invitation to us with, ‘Another month, another lockdown, but feel free to spend it in my company as I listen to a live set from the Hillary Step with the soulful jazz vocals of Pete McSloy and his 6 piece band. Music also from the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra doing Sam Cooke, a live contribution from George Benson, RNC Big Band with Superstition and John Morrison Fowler makes a claim on the show that, `That ain't Jazz`.
